The First Review For Sonic Superstars Is Now In These aren’t even at climactic moments sometimes they just happen in the middle of dungeons, meaning specific encounters can long outstay their welcome.Įvery American Football Game On Nintendo SwitchĪmazon Big Deal Days: Best Deals On Nintendo Switch Conso. You can spend five minutes beating on two spongy waves of enemies only to be faced with two more waves. The encounter design also has a habit of feeling unnecessarily drawn out. This is coupled with the game reusing locations like the highways or the underground passages, the latter of which shows up in four separate chapters. However, a lot of the dungeons devolve into long corridors in which you fight a group of enemies, walk to the next room, fight another group, and repeat. Some offer up unique gimmicks like the opening gatcha machine dungeon or the Ice-based one later in the game. That being said, we ended up spending 90% of our time as Leo, as his ability to deal the most damage made those long spongy fights more bearable.ĭungeon design is also a mixed bag this time around. Leo, La Viada, and Bahet, the Kunlunian guardians who were used as assists in the previous game, are now fully playable with their own unique movesets. It’s a shame because in other ways the game does significantly improve on its predecessor in the combat department. This is multiplied by some of the boss fights, with the worst offender being a robot who has a health bar for each of its legs and spends the entire fight running away while performing an AOE spin attack. There were countless times when we would spend minutes just juggling the same enemy to take down their gargantuan health bar while not taking a single hit. Not only is your moveset limited, but the enemies themselves offer up next to no challenge this is paired with each foe being an absolute damage sponge. Musou relative combat’s simplicity works when paired with a large amount of mindless grunts as a sort of power fantasy Dusk Diver 2’s decision to focus on fewer, larger enemies leaves combat feeling like a chore.Ĭaptured on Nintendo Switch (Handheld/Undocked) The sequel’s fights are more in line with the likes of Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, typically with four or five enemies that put up more of a fight - which is a completely valid option if you have the moveset complexity of a Devil May Cry or a Bayonetta. A lot of the fights in the original game fit that hack 'n' slash style, with loads of small enemies that you absolutely rip through and some larger ones peppered in there. However, some changes have been made to the encounter design, and that's where the game’s biggest flaw comes to light. It’s also a story that you can get engaged in without playing the original game while some elements may be a bit confusing, a short recap in the gallery gets you up to speed.ĭusk Diver's musou-style gameplay returns for the sequel. While Dusk Diver 2’s story takes a while to get going, it picks up towards the end to tell a good story, well-written with a strong supporting cast of characters. While this is going on it’s revealed that a rival group known only as Elysium is trying to wrestle jurisdiction of Youshanding and the Dragon Vein control system from the current holders, the Kunlunians. Eventually, Yumo and the gang run into a mysterious boy in Youshanding and are assailed by a figure known only as the Dark Diver, who seeks the boy for unknown reasons.

Starting his career this way and then can he become a guy that can carry this team? With everything else they got, if he can become that guy or if they can get some pieces on the outside, then it'll be fun to watch what this team can do over the next decade or so."Īlso discussed in this episode: Why Warner would like to see Jones more aggressive. "It'll be interesting to see how he'll play out in these playoffs, but more importantly, how quickly he can become more like Tom Brady. It's just, does he try to do more in the playoffs because they're gonna need more, or are they able to win the way that they won during that stretch? But again, I don't think you're gonna beat teams in the playoffs by double-digits, by 20 points, by playing good defense and running the football, and your quarterback kind of managing things. "Mac has done as well as you could expect him to do as a rookie. They were built on running and defense, and their quarterback was a complementary piece. "As we went into that game, we were not worried about Tom Brady, which is almost unbelievable to say now, but at that time in his career we weren't worried about him. In our Super Bowl, I think he threw for 150 yards. "Maybe we could flip it and say Tom Brady was maybe more a big throw guy down the field, but didn't do that much in terms of creating plays for his offense. This was very much what Tom Brady was," Warner said. "I played against Tom Brady in his first Super Bowl. It's pretty badass.Īlso new to the Forza franchise is a feature called mod cards. During my 2-hour play session, I managed to unlock the Audi R18 e-tron Quattro - a carbon-fiber, 550-plus horsepower diesel hybrid LeMans prototype racer. Prize Spin is sort of like a slot machine for prizes, ranging from in-game currency to new and rare cars for your digital garage. If you've played Forza Horizon 2, this bit should be familiar. Aside from the bragging rights of having a number next you your gamertag that's one more than before, ranking up triggers a new feature called Prize Spin. With each race, players will earn driver XP (experience points) and, when enough points are gathered, rank up to the next level. Of course, it's nigh impossible to test how accurate these avatars are to their creators, but I think that seeing my friends' names adds a bit of cheekiness and vindictiveness to my play. You may be playing the Forza 6 demo this weekend and trade paint with my Drivatar in my hot pink Miata. Next, Forza uses the racing sim trope of dropping the player into one of the best cars in the game - the 2016 Ford GT cover car - to teach the basic controls before taking a big step back and asking them to choose a much less powerful car to actually start their career with.įorza's Drivatar system returns for this iteration, which uses Microsoft's cloud processing backend to analyze your in-game driving style to create a digital avatar that that then appears in other players' races around the world. It didn't get my hair standing on end like Forza 5's intro, but it's soon over. The dramatic bit of cinema featuring a foot race between young boys and the question of "why do we race?" is a bit more high concept than I expected. Like all Forza titles of recent memory, FM6 starts out with an inspirational video. I was recently able to get a few hours behind the wheel of FM6's single-player career mode to check out some of those new features. Forza Motorsport 6 will hit the Xbox One console on September 15 bringing more cars, more tracks and more new features than ever before. Turn 10 Studios' Forza Motorsport racing sim franchise turned 10 years old this year and celebrated by announcing the next iteration at the 2015 Detroit auto show earlier this year. 11/13/2023 0 Comments Pac man 30th anniversary gameDown the line other sequels such as Baby Pac-Man – which introduced mini-games throughout levels – and other side projects helped keep fans engaged in between mainline releases from 1981 until 1999 when perhaps one of its most memorable entries Super Smash Bros debuted on Nintendo 64. Pacman was released in 1982 as a sequel to Pacman and ushered in one of gaming’s first canonically female protagonists into the mix something that has been echoed across various franchises since then-including Sonic and Super Mario Bros.-shine through today despite being relatively slight by today’s standards. So popular did this title become over time that it was featured on multiple TV shows-even inspiring cereal manufacturers to make versions of their goods based on the character-with some products not even officially connected with Namco or the franchise itself.Īs time went on, fan-favorite Ms. The success of Pacman took off almost immediately upon release thanks to its catchy music and unrivaled replay value when compared to similar arcade titles at the time it quickly became an international phenomenon. The initial design of Pacman was modeled after a pizza with missing slices thus creating what would become one of gaming’s most recognizable and beloved characters ever. In honor of its thirtieth anniversary, let’s take a look back at the game’s storied history.Ĭreated by Namco designer Toru Iwatani in 1980, Pacman was meant to be an incredibly social puzzle-like game-one with enough draw that entices even people who had no interest in playing other games at the time. Known as one of the earliest video game icons, Pacman holds a special place in pop culture, becoming a common (albeit unintentional) centerpiece for many celebrations. Pac-Man 30th Anniversary For the past three decades, Pacman has been a staple in arcades and living rooms all over the world. 11/13/2023 0 Comments Seashore inn cannon beachThank you Phillip Wilson, General Manager Surfsand Resort & Wayfarer Restaurant 148 West Gower | Cannon Beach, OR 97110 d 702.810.2344 | cannot say enough about this, Resort… I will no longer look and wonder where I’m going to stay… Because this is the only place I will continue to return to… The front desk check in and check out was superb… The fresh delicious cookies they make and put out every day at 3 PM are the best. Hello Gonef295, Thank you for the review knowing when we made a mistake is the only way we can correct it. The location is walking distance to restaurants and shops and we kept our car parked at the hotel unless we were exploring the surrounding areas for the day. There are beach towels to use at the entrance to the beach, and beach balls in the pool (which we had all to ourselves one evening) and even a windshield washing station set up in the parking lot. We enjoyed the afternoon cookies, and also took a saltwater taffy or two, the DVD library was fun (there is a scene at the beginning of The Goonies that is at the access road on the side of the hotel and then there is a car race that starts by Haystack Rock) and we were also given a bag of popcorn to microwave. It's the little things that make this a great place to stay. We really enjoyed the bonfire and s'mores every night and met people from all over the US and Canada. Several days there was enough wind to fly kites on the beach and we spent hours out there. We started off each morning walking to Haystack Rock around low tide to see what we could find in the tidepools. 11/12/2023 0 Comments Endurance bike rideThis is where you’re doing intervals that apply specific stress to energy systems and create a training stimulus. The vast majority of your cardiovascular fitness and power output results from your shorter training rides. But even with more time available for training, very long individual training rides are a very small component of what would make you faster. Would you go faster if you had more time to devote to training? Sure. ith focused training within the time you have available you can develop the aerobic fitness necessary to successfully complete a 6-12 hour event. This is an important point for Time-Crunched Cyclists who feel that longer events are out of reach because of limited training time. You can absolutely develop the fitness necessary to complete a challenging century or gran fondo with training rides that never exceed 3 hours. The development of your aerobic engine matters more than the miles you have in your legs. So, then, what does make a difference? Fitness trumps mileage Both are approximately 75% of the total event distance, but neither makes a significant difference in finish rates. Some cyclists and coaches insist on completing a 75-mile training ride in order to be ready for a century. Marathon runners religiously use a 20-mile training run as a marker of preparedness to complete the event. There is nothing magical about achieving a specific percentage of the race or event distance in a single training ride. Do you need to ride 60 or 75 miles during a training ride to be ready for a 100-miler? Does the length of my longest single training session matter? How many miles do you need to ride in training to be ready for your event? We get asked some variation of that question all the time from cyclists getting ready for their first century, or for a gran fondo, gravel race, or endurance mountain bike event. 11/12/2023 0 Comments Does pi rad 4 mean cancaerremoving your prostate and possibly some surrounding lymph nodes.Stage 2 cancer is further divided into three phases depending on the grade group and Gleason scores: The PSA score for stage 2 is less than 20 ng/mL. The survival rate is still near 100 percent. A doctor may or may not be able to feel the tumor during a prostate exam, and it may appear on ultrasound imaging. In stage 2, the tumor is still confined to your prostate and hasn’t spread to lymph nodes or other parts of your body. Here’s an overview of how the two grading systems compare: So, although both situations give a Gleason score of 7, they actually have very different prognoses. This pattern is considered “unfavorable” and may mean local or metastatic spread. The 4 pattern is the most common in the biopsy and 3 is the second most common. This pattern is considered “favorable” intermediate risk. The 3 pattern is the most common in the biopsy and 4 is the second most common. One of the major problems with the Gleason score is that some scores can be made up in different ways. The grade group system seeks to simplify Gleason scores and give a more accurate diagnosis. The International Society of Urological Pathology released a revised prostate cancer grading system in 2014. The pathologist will calculate your Gleason score by adding together the number of the most prevalent type of cell in the sample and the second most prevalent type of cell.įor example, if the most common cell grade in your sample is 4 and the second most common is 4, you would have a score of 8.Ī Gleason score of 6 is considered low-grade cancer, 7 is intermediate, and 8 to 10 is high-grade cancer. Grade 1 cells are healthy prostate, whereas grade 5 cells are highly mutated and don’t resemble healthy cells at all. They grade the cells in the biopsy on a scale of 1 to 5. Donald Gleason originally developed the Gleason prostate cancer score in the 1960s as a way to measure how aggressive your prostate cancer may be.Ī pathologist determines your Gleason score by looking at a biopsy of your prostate tissue under a microscope. The sample will be studied under a microscope to check for signs of cancer. During a biopsy, your doctor will collect a tissue sample from your prostate. If your doctor finds anything unusual on these tests, they may request a biopsy. Additional blood tests and an MRI of the prostate to look for lesions might also be done. people with a family history or other risk factors for prostate cancerĭoctors also commonly use a digital rectal exam, where they use a gloved finger to feel for abnormal prostate growth.average-risk individuals between the ages of 55 and 69.The American Urological Association currently recommends PSA screening for the following groups: If your PSA level is above 10 ng/mL, there’s a more than 50 percent chance of having prostate cancer.ĭoctors commonly use PSA testing to screen for prostate cancer, although there has been some controversy to this approach. Many doctors will send you for further testing if your PSA levels are higher than 4 ng/mL.Īccording to the American Cancer Society, if you have a PSA level between 4 and 10 ng/mL, there’s a 25 percent chance you have prostate cancer. A higher PSA level in your blood is associated with an increased risk of developing prostate cancer. PSA is a protein made by both normal and cancerous cells in your prostate. When a doctor uses it to determine your prostate cancer stage, they’ll consider several other factors as well, including: The TNM scale is used for many types of cancer. Metastasis: whether cancer has spread to distant sites in the body.Nodes: the number or extent of nearby lymph node involvement.Tumor: the size and extent of the tumor. The most widely used staging system for cancer is the American Joint Committee on Cancer’s TNM system that classifies cancer from stage 1 to stage 4. Knowing your cancer stage also helps your doctor determine the best treatment options for you and estimate your chance of survival. How prostate cancer is diagnosed and stagedĬancer staging helps you and your doctor understand how advanced your cancer is and how much it has spread at the time of diagnosis. |
